The Dengue Relief Foundation believes in providing all forms of medical relief to Nicaragua. Ambulance donations have been one such method for the DRF to support the medical emergency needs of small towns throughout Nicaragua.
In 2009, the DRF collaborated with a large-scale bay area California ambulance provider. Private funding allowed for the first two DRF ambulances to be supplied to areas where emergency care and transportation to clinics were unavailable. Private fundraising and donations are the primary means of supporting and continuing our efforts to provide ambulance services to the small rural areas of Nicaragua.
It is the DRF's goal to expand this project to other rural areas of Latin America.
